Deck Builder- The Basic "Block-All" Sideboard
Mood:  amorous
Now Playing: with my RaiDa, Reggies this Saturday!
Topic: Kenn's Cards of the Week

It’s been half a week since my Evil Hero article, and introduced my “Block-All” Side, which has gone through a couple of small changes since then, namely these

-2 Solemn Judgments

-3 Pulling the Rug

+1 Burial from a Different Dimension

+1 Dark Bribe

+3 Divine Wraths

I noticed that, although utterly amazing, Banisher of the Radiance hurt a little too much to really even out with its upside, but since he shuts down Sangan, Card Trooper, Destiny Hero – Malicious, Cyber Phoenix, Mystic Tomato, Shining Angel, Giant Rat, UFO Turtle, Mother Grizzly, Flying Kamikiri #1, Destiny Hero – Fear Monger, Mad Reloader, Giant Germ, Nimble Momonga, Light and Darkness Dragon, and LOADS MORE, even decks like Ratbox, RaiDa, A Perfect Circle, and Zombies!!!  And although it isn’t as obvious, it shuts down GADGETS, yes, gadgets, they get one use, they get killed, and then The Transmigration Prophecy is flipped, or Pot of Avarice is dropped, and then they get to be reused, Yay?  Sorry, Banisher REMOVES, but I digress, I’ve strayed largely from the point I was trying to make.  Burial from a Different Dimension allows you to reuse removed cards, and while the one was originally used to counter D.D. Crows, the second helps with reusing cards from your removed pile to offset Banisher’s amazingnessocity. The one and one Dark Bribe and Solemn Judgment allows for you to get the overall protection from God, and free Spell/Trap protection from a Drunken Official.

Also with the side, I’ve finalized that Twister is the best choice out of Twister/Mei-Kou, Master of Barriers/Dust Tornado, because of its overall utility.  Twister isn’t as susceptible to the “I’ll MST your set on your End Phase” as Dust Tornado is, and it isn’t as restricted to Continuous cards, like with Mei-Kou.  And while the other two options are still open, Twister can hit those pesky Premature Burials and Swords of Revealing Light.  But I still must say, Dust Tornado should only be used if you really have no other options, as Traps need to be run tighter, and Dust Tornado would be pushing it a bit over the limit.

Now, here’s Divine Wrath, replacing Pulling the Rugs, for the simple fact that, although it does have a cost over Pulling the Rug’s costlessnessocity, it can be flipped whenever the monster activates, and allows for a much wider range of defense, instead of just Monarchs and Gadgets.  Now we have defense from Zombies, Snipe Hunter, Light and Darkness Dragon, Destiny Hero – Plasma, Six Samurai, and Dark World. Yayness, much?

OK, so here’s the entire Sideboard list

2 Jinzo

2 Banisher of the Radiance

2 D.D. Crow

2 Burials from a Different Dimension

2 Twisters

1 Dark Bribe

3 Divine Wraths

1 Solemn Judgment

And here’s the part where I talk about the other two cards

Jinzos are fairly obvious, he stops all Traps in their tracks, except for a certain few that can be flipped on his Summon, like Skill Drain, Torrential Tribute, Trap Hole, Bottomless Trap Hole, Shadow-Sealing Mirror, Solemn Judgment, and Divine Wrath, just so you all will know that he has so many faults, and still gets away with it.  Now we get to D.D. Crow, another obvious card, but still, some people need this one spoon-fed to them.  Discard D.D. Crow from your hand, remove a good monster in your opponent’s grave from play, then laugh at them as their only target for Premature Burial is weaker than your Cyber Dragon, and won’t let them draw 2 cards.
